Revlon Australia and New Zealand:  Privacy Policy

We at Revlon Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 095 360 731) and Revlon New Zealand Limited (“Revlon”), respect your concerns about privacy.  This Privacy Policy describes the types of personal information we obtain about you on www.revlon.com.au and www.revlon.co.nz (the “Sites”), how we obtain and use the information, with whom we share it and the rights and choices available to users of our Site regarding our use of the information.  We also describe the measures we take to protect the security of the information and how users can contact us about our privacy practices.  The entity responsible for the processing of your personal information on www.revlon.com.au is Revlon Australia Pty Ltd (ACN 095 360 731) and the entity responsible for the processing of your information on www.revlon.co.nz is Revlon New Zealand Limited.


Information We Obtain

We may obtain certain information, including personal information, through our Site.  The types of information we may obtain include: 

  • Contact information (such as name, postal address, email address and telephone number);
  • Demographic information, including your age; 
  • Product preferences;
  • Contact information of others (such as email address) when you use certain features on the Site such as the “Send This Job to a Friend”;
  • Information you may choose to submit in connection with your inquiries or comments;
  • Photographs and other content you provide; and
  • With respect to Revlon Australia job applicants, username and password, contact information (such as name, postal address, email address, and telephone number), employment history, education history, gender and other information contained in a résumé uploaded through our Site or submitted through an online application form or from third parties and publicly available sources. 

In addition, when you visit our Site we may obtain certain information by automated means, such as cookies, web server logs, web beacons and JavaScript.  The information we obtain in this manner includes IP address, browser characteristics, device characteristics, operating system, language preferences, referring URLs, information on actions taken on the Site, and dates and times of Site visits.  A “cookie” is a file that websites send to a visitor’s computer or other Internet-connected device to uniquely identify the visitor’s browser or to store information or settings in the browser.  A “web beacon,” also known as an Internet tag, pixel tag or clear GIF, links web pages to web servers and their cookies and may be used to transmit information collected through cookies back to a web server.  Through these automated collection methods, we obtain “clickstream data,” which is a log of the links and other content on which a visitor clicks while browsing a website.  As the visitor clicks through the website, a record of the action may be collected and stored. Your browser may tell you how to be notified when you receive certain types of cookies or how to restrict or disable certain types of cookies.  Please note, however, that without cookies you may not be able to use all of the features of our Site. 

The providers of other third-party plug-ins on our Site, such as social sharing tools, may use automated means to collect information regarding your use of the Site and your interactions with these features.  This information is subject to the privacy policies or notices of the plug-in providers and is not subject to this Privacy Policy.  To the extent permitted by applicable law, Revlon Australia is not responsible for these providers’ information practices.

Information We Share 

We do not disclose personal information we collect about you through the Site, except as described in this Privacy Policy.  We may share personal information with service providers who perform services on our behalf, based on our instructions.  We do not authorize these service providers to use or disclose the information except as necessary to perform services on our behalf or comply with legal requirements. 

In addition, we may disclose information about you (i) to our related companies, (ii) to our business partners if you agree to receive communications from them, (iii) to your references, if you apply for a job with us, (iii) to our professional advisers, (iv) if we are required to do so by law or legal process, (v) to law enforcement authorities or other government officials based on a lawful disclosure request, or (vi) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical harm or financial loss, or in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual fraudulent or illegal activity.  We reserve the right to transfer any information we have about you in the event we sell or transfer all or a portion of our business or assets (including in the event of a reorganization, dissolution or liquidation). 

 

Your Rights and Choices

We offer you certain choices in connection with the personal information we obtain about you on the Site.  To update your preferences, ask us to remove your information from our mailing lists, or submit a request, please contact us as indicated in the “How to Contact Us” section of this Privacy Policy.  In addition, you may request access to the personal information we maintain about you or request that we correct or amend the information by contacting us as indicated below.  You also may withdraw any consent you previously provided to us or object at any time on legitimate grounds to the processing of your personal information, and we will apply your preferences going forward. 

To file a complaint about our information practices, please contact us as indicated in the “How to Contact Us” section of this Privacy Policy.  Where appropriate, we will attempt to confirm your understanding of the conduct related to your complaint and your expectations regarding the outcome of your complaint.  We will inform you whether we will conduct an investigation into your complaint.  If we do conduct an investigation, we also will provide contact details of the investigating officer and the estimated completion date of the investigation.  After we have completed our investigation, we will advise you of the outcome and allow you to submit a response to our conclusions.  If you are unsatisfied with the outcome, we will advise you of additional options for resolution.

 

Data Transfers

We may transfer the personal information we collect about you through the Site to countries outside of the country in which the information originally was collected, including Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States.  Those countries may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which you initially provided the information.  When we transfer your information to other countries, we take reasonable steps to require the recipient to adopt appropriate practices to protect and treat your personal information securely. 


How We Protect Personal Information

We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect the personal information you provide against accidental, unlawful or unauthorized destruction, loss, alteration, access, disclosure or use.  We hold your personal information in both paper-based and electronic files.  Electronic information is stored on servers, in cloud storage and on similar infrastructure containing the safeguards described above.  In some cases, this infrastructure may be overseas.

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically and without prior notice to you to reflect changes in our personal information practices.  For significant changes, we will notify you by posting a prominent notice on our Site indicating at the top of the Privacy Policy when it was most recently updated.
